The Third Tour of Qinghai Lake International
Cycling Race took place in Qinghai on July 17th-25th.
The category of this race was promoted by UCI from 2.3 to 2.5,
becoming one of the top-level races in Asia. The Third TQL attracted
20 teams in the world, including 11 professional teams, 7 national
teams and 2 regional teams. 120 riders participated in this
event. The total race distance covered 1291.8km over 9 stages.
For the first time, UCI assigned an anti-doping inspector to
follow the race and inspect the riders. |

The opening ceremony was held on Xinning
Square in the Capital city of Xining, Qinghai Province. CCTV
and Qinghai TV Stations provided the race coverage with a 90’
live telecast of the opening ceremony. An exciting performance
entitled “To Surpass Our Dreams” started the event
activities. |
